Kasperske Hory is a beautiful Sumava town with a rich history associated with gold mining. This mountain resort with the dominant Kasperk castle is a center for year-round tourism. The city attracts visitors in the summer with its beautiful surrounding nature and many historical monuments, and in the winter with a ski resort with two ski lifts. There is a kindergarten, primary and art school in the town. Approximately 1400 inhabitants live here.
